Eclipses are astronomical events. They affect you in many ways here on Earth and in your bodies, which ought to tell you that you're energy and all energy is connected. And when a body of energy has an event, so do you. But because you're unique, no one person has the same experience.

Many astrologers agree that the degree of an eclipse can be revisited in the months following the actual eclipse by what’s called a ‘conjunction’—a conjunction is when two energies meet and hold hands. This essentially means that the influence of the eclipses last for months!

How do they affect you, though?  Let's say that the energy of the Solar eclipse occurs at 17 degrees of Aquarius. That’s an astronomical and an astrological calculation.  And Jane's birthday is on Feb 7 which means her Sun sign is at 18 degrees of Aquarius.

The Solar eclipse is at 17 degrees and Jane's Sun sign degree is at 18 degrees. This is a conjunction. 

The closer the degree of the eclipse is (within 8 degrees) to your sun, moon, and/or rising sign (or the closer the degree of the eclipse to ANY of the planets in your astrological chart,) the more the effect of the eclipse in your life.  Any particular conjunction between a planet in your astrological chart and the eclipse also determines the subject matter you'll be dealing with the most during the phase of the eclipse.

Now, if the degree of either the Solar or Lunar eclipses don’t match up with any of your degrees in your astrological chart it doesn’t mean you’re unaffected. Oh, my stars no…it means the intensity of the event is lessened.  Conjunctions are not the only connections between eclipse degrees and the planets in your astro chart.

For instance, I have zero Aquarius planets in my chart, yet during one Solar eclipse in the sign of Aquarius, the degree of this Solar eclipse was exactly opposite a major planet in my chart.  That meant I was about to see huge changes in a particular area of my life. And because I keep track of the eclipses I make sure I’m doing the best I can do to stay on top of HOW to make my changes so that when the eclipses arrive, they act as a portal of change instead of a shocking surprise about what my unconscious mind has been manifesting.

The Solar Eclipse represents the Sun, masculine, go, do, plan, act, see it in the light and connotes a gain, a growth factor. Especially if you’ve been working toward something. If you’re not working on it, what happens is you’re surprised even though nothing really is out of the blue. You’re constantly creating thoughts that make a stream or pattern. Whether you’re aware or not of those thoughts is the next step. Say to yourself, "Now it’s time to become aware. Let me pause and see how I’m responding or reacting.  Is this my eclipse moment?" How you respond is more important-not the actual event. How you respond to it because you’re still creating more energy, matter. There’s a cooperation between you, the Cosmos, and Divinity. Everything around you mirrors back what you’ve been thinking and what you’ve been feeling. THIS IS MANIFESTING.

But listen to this very great thing about our Cosmos—it’s conscious, that’s right. Our Cosmos is made up of molecules and particles and Divine light waves—Pure Conscious Love.

So let’s say you’ve been striving toward an increase in business with partners. You’re doing the best you can, communicating, negotiating, working together and then the Solar Eclipse comes along and within 6 weeks the one partner you felt great about suddenly tells you he’s retiring. What? Ohmygosh…you’re thrown off of your axis. You made plans revolving around this person.

Okay, stop. Pause. Breathe. Things are not always what they seem. Especially during an eclipse phase.  If you’re consciously creating a healthy partnership then WHAT IS NOT HEALTHY is revealed by the Cosmos.

This is a cooperation between you and your Divine Cosmos.  The planets don’t do stuff to you except mirror back to you what your own energy echoes.

So you look at your plan and instead of feeling defeated, you see the opportunity this phase holds for you. Maybe this person needed to leave so that a more appropriate partner could arrive in his stead. Maybe the way you are in business partnerships is not as healthy as it needs to be.

The Solar Eclipse is like a huge spotlight on your life—what works and what doesn't.

The Solar eclipse literally sheds light on what you’ve been manifesting. During every Solar and Lunar Eclipse go through your calendars and day planners and look back 6 months to what you were thinking at the time. What were you hoping to achieve? What were you manifesting? What were you working on?

Then go back one year from any Solar or Lunar Eclipse phase. What was the goal? What were the challenges or opportunities?

During one Eclipse phase I looked back one year in my calendars and saw that I was hoping to reach a larger audience. To assist manifesting that I wrote it down on a piece of paper, “I choose to reach a larger audience,” and then got out of my own way by asking the Divine Cosmos to show me what that meant for my highest and best. I didn’t try to control what I thought 'working with a larger audience' meant. 

Soon after the Solar eclipse phase I was given a few seminars to do right away.  Cool.  Soon after the Lunar eclipse phase, a few jobs were cancelled. Bummer.

So within six months I did speak at 3 seminars. Worked for me.   A few months after that towards the next Solar eclipse I was given two links to the same radio station by two people who didn't have contact with each other.  When ever that happens I call it THE TRUTH. Those are the kind of signs I look for when I'm manifesting.

I thought, "Oh. Okay. I can be a guest on a radio station."
I called the radio station and as it turned out another host just quit. “We have an opening. Would you like to be a host?” asked the owner of the station.

I didn’t’ know what to say. I never thought about it. I hung up the phone and called my husband and he said “Whaddy calling ME for? Take it! What have you been hoping for!?”

So I took it and that was August of 2007 during another set of eclipses.
The Solar eclipse helped me to bring the material into being of reaching larger audiences. The Lunar eclipse helped me to let go of my limited thinking of HOW I was going to do that. (being a host pushed a few insecurities in me I didn't know were there!)

When you look at the eclipses think about how it applies in general and how it applies specifically. The eclipses are astronomical events and they affect you in many ways here on Earth and in your bodies which tells you that you are energy and all energy is connected.

The Lunar Eclipse is thought to be a real drag, a mournful experience and relates to the feminine or a loss.  Well I’ve gotta say that’s not been my experience.  I see the Lunar Eclipse as a way and means to uncover your unconscious behavior that stops you from moving forward.

Now with the Solar eclipse, a lot of people have said to me (astrologers, metaphysicians) that it has been their experience that during the Solar eclipse something wonderful will happen and then the same people will tell me that in the Lunar eclipse, something negative or sad will happen. I have been researching eclipses for the past 20 years and I’ve not had that experience. What I’ve had is based on the perception of who I am. So if you think the sky is going to fall, the sky is going to fall. What I’d like to share with you is some really wonderful things that can happen during the eclipses. The one issue people fear most is ill health when it comes to Eclipses.
 
Please be aware that if there is a hidden thought or illness in your body that inhibits your growth, this is the time for it to appear. This does not mean that you are going to get sick or that harm will befall you. We’re not living in the middle ages so let’s not go Hollywood with this, Folks.

I know someone who is very healthy, never smoked, never abused her body and last year during an eclipse phase was diagnosed with lung cancer. She was shocked and thrown to say the least. But it brought up the illness. She’s very much alive and working hard to heal what was misaligned in her body. 

Okay, NO, no one cares to be at the doctors more than they have to be. And I’m not saying the eclipses are negative events.  But if you were exposed to a toxin a long time ago and your body has been holding it in, it’s more likely that the toxin will have an easier time of being released during an eclipse phase.

You may or may not experience a loss during either phase of the Solar and Lunar eclipse but it’s not a negative event.  I’ve had huge healings during the Solar and Lunar eclipse phases and have worked with the energy to have it sling shot me forward.

You’ve seen those science fiction movies or really great animated films where the character can tele-transport from one dimension to another or where a character goes from black and white to color, right?  Pretend that during an eclipse phase that a movie of your life is being filmed and anything is possible. This is why it's so paramount to work with these magnetic influences AHEAD OF TIME by PLANNING.

When a body of energy has an event so do we but because we’re unique no one person is going to have the same experience. That’s why I couldn’t understand what these people were telling me in the past about the Lunar Eclipse being so negative. I did get laid off from my job once in a Solar eclipse about 20 years ago. But in hindsight it was the push I needed to become a freelance graphic designer.

During another Lunar Eclipse in the sign of Taurus, (I'm a Taurus Sun sign) my Godmother passed away—she was ready to go and we did mourn her passing, but we also rejoiced for her.  During that same week our Taurus Sun daughter made huge developmental leaps that made us smile!

The Lunar eclipse actually clears away the debris or residue that no longer needs to be there so that the Solar eclipse can show you the door. That’s been my experience.

The Solar and Lunar eclipses show you the door and always leave you with a gift on the way out.

Sometimes the gift is not always perceived as positive. Because you say “I just lost my job how is that a gift?” Well if you’ve been focusing on creating something else and you won’t let go of the other job, how can you make room? So we’re not looking at things as a positive or negative event.  We’re looking at what’s most appropriate to what you’re creating. And if you’re new to the conscious creating game, don’t fret. It doesn’t mean something horrible is going to happen. It means you’re going to be redirected. This is a very compassionate Divine Cosmos.

The energy of an eclipse begins a few days prior and continues through approximately 6 weeks--33 days of which are concentrated energy. Nothing starts or stops on a dime in the Cosmos so for Example--if the eclipse is on June 1, start looking for signs of change in your life around May 26 or so through the end of July.

I got pregnant during the week of a Solar eclipse. I’ve healed my old defensive wounds during eclipse phases by practicing EFT, Emotional freedom technique, or doing double Network Chiropractic sessions during the week of any eclipse. It’s profound what comes out when you allow it.

You create from all types of conscious and unconscious states. Be more present with your life. Be aware of how you make choices and the doors that open and close. You are working in tandem with this life and this is such a powerful time become conscious—See the eclipses as a moving Cosmic walkway that, if you step on it, can bring you to your goals that much quicker.

The Solar and Lunar Eclipses work in tandem to help you uncover your inconsistencies, your contradictions and ways in which to help you manifest positive, healthy changes. During Eclipses you can bypass intellectual defenses that would otherwise keep you from getting to the truth of your matter.

Be conscious when working with the eclipses and you can fast track any issue!
